How to Unassign Credits & Tests

Rules:
- Credits can only be unassigned if the student does not have any tests assigned for that credit.
- Tests can only be unassigned if the student never started the test.
- All tests assigned for that credit must be unassigned to be able to remove a credit.
How to unassign a test:
- As an instructor go to your roster detail screen for that class.
- Click on the Assign/View Student Tests button.
- Click on the View All Assignments button. If the attempts completed are greater than 0, you can not unassign the test.

- Select the student(s) and click Unassign tests. You will have the same pop-up as you did when you assigned the tests. You need to select the tests you want to unassign and click continue.

If you select tests that can't be assigned you will be warned in the next step that the test cannot be unassigned. Below you can see tests that can be unassigned and tests that cannot.

Click Apply and you will receive confirmation of what the system was able to unassign.

In our example above we were able to remove all tests assignments for 2 students, Susan Smith and Chris Smile. Now we remove the test credit assigned to them. Go back to the roster details screen and scroll down until you see the students you want to unassign the credit from:

- Unselect the Enable Test Assignment checkbox.
- Click Save
If you have selected students with tests assigned you will receive a message:
Unable to unassign credit for 'student's name'. If the credit is removed the student will no longer have a check in the checkbox for enable tests assignments and the credit will be available to be used again.
