How do I give extra time to students who need it?

All ASE Entry-Level Tests are automatically configured to allow up to double time, so no additional setup is required on your end to activate this accommodation.
For single-subject tests such as Brakes, Heating and Air Conditioning, etc., we recommend students be given 60 minutes to complete the exam. However, the system will automatically allow up to 120 minutes if additional time is needed.
For comprehensive tests such as Maintenance and Light Repair, Automobile Service Technology, and Inspection Maintenance and Minor Repair, we recommend students be given 90 minutes to complete the exam. However, the system will automatically allow up to 190 minutes if needed.
We do not require accommodation documentation to be submitted directly to us. Any approved testing accommodations should simply be documented in the student’s IEP and maintained within the school’s records.
