LEARN - How to Use Messaging

The Messaging Tool allows instructors to send messages and initiate conversations with their students/rosters. Students are not able to initiate conversations with their instructors or other students.

From the instructor's Learn dashboard,  click the speech bubble in the top right corner. 

This will open the messaging tool for you to create new messages or continue existing conversations. 

Click + New and select the student(s) or roster you would like to send a message to. 

Enter your message and send. 

Students will receive a notification on their dashboard that they have a new message. They can open their messaging tool to read the message and respond if they choose. 

Instructors will see a notification on their dashboard indicating how many new messages they have, and when the messaging tool is opened there will be another indicator by the chat that has new messages
